Globe staff photos for the week of Dec. 2, 2011

10/11/11 - South Boston, MA - Vickie DeRosa, cq, right, talks to everyone she sees during her pre-dawn rounds of Massport's property in and around the Fish Pier. She has managed the Boston Fish Pier for nearly two decades. She arrives everyday at 5:30 a.m., checks her email then immediately changes her shoes and coat and walks the pier, where she's the only woman in a sea of fishermen, boat captains and truck drivers. It's her job to make sure everyone behaves and follows the rules, so fresh fish gets to grocery store shelves and restaurant plates. Story slugged: 30wakeup. Story by Akilah Johnson/Globe Staff. Dina Rudick/Globe Staff.
