The FBI’s cynical embrace of a reputed killer and informant named Mark Rossetti is similar to the Whitey Bulger scandal, in which the nation’s premiere law enforcement agency let a gangster get rid of his competitors. Now a man convicted of plotting to kill former Mafia boss Frank Salemme says he was framed by the FBI to protect Rossetti. It’s deja vu all over again.
