Firefighter who died in Worcester blaze was set to be married in January

Jon Davies was back on the job for only two months before the rescue call came that would claim his life, after an on-the-job shoulder injury that required surgery sidelined him last summer. “He really trained, he was down at the station every day lifting and doing everything he could to get back to work,’’ said Frank Raffa, a retired Worcester firefighter who worked in the Franklin Street Station with Davies.
