That is the true legacy of ex-Speaker of the House Thomas Finneran who, as the above article reminds us, handpicked John O'Brien to brick-by-brick dismantle a nationally recognized probation department and turn it into a feeding ground for corruption, cronyism and fraud. I would hope Massachusetts legislators remember that the next time they offer Finneran and his fellow miscreant ex-speakers a standing ovation. There must be some crime on the books that Finneran can be charged under. Clearly, he should be sharing a cell with Mr. O'Brien.
