One dead, one injured in car crashes on Route 146 in Sutton

One person died in a car crash today on Route 146 in Sutton, State Police said. The northbound side of the road near Exit 7 is now closed as troopers respond to and investigate the accident, State Police said in a statement. The identity of the dead person, who was the only person in the vehicle, has not been confirmed, State Police said. A second person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a secondary crash shortly after the first one. Sutton police are handling traffic on alternate routes.
