Warwick man shot while hunting dies


A Rhode Island man who was shot while hunting in Exeter has died. State Police said yesterday that Donald Mallette, 45, of Warwick was shot by another hunter during a hunting trip to the Arcadia Management Area. Police say they were notified of the shooting at about 11 a.m. yesterday. Authorities say Mallette was taken to Kent County Hospital, where he later died. State Police, the attorney general’s office, and Environmental Police are investigating. (AP)
