Baby Jesus, lamb reported missing from Brookline Nativity scene

Brookline police are looking for the figures of the baby Jesus and a lamb that were taken from the Nativity scene at a local church over the weekend. The figures were taken from St. Mary of the Assumption Church. They were seen as recently as Saturday night in the set near the corner of Harvard Street and Linden Place, said Brookline Police Lieutenant Philip Harrington. Reverend Brian Clary, pastor of the church, said he was alerted to the missing figures on Sunday morning by a church usher. “Whomever is responsible for it, we are forgiving them for this, whether it’s a crime or a prank. If they bring back the baby Jesus or the lamb, all will be forgiven,” said Clary.
