OMG - here we go again. What is it about the Kennedys that make them think they are the people best suited to represent Massachusetts . . . have these kids ever had anything but a silver spoon in their mouths?

Geez, would you say the same about the Bushes?

Well, it was nice while it lasted.

Goood luck!

It's NOT the Kennedy seat!

Has even been into this district besides driving through on his way to the cape? Could he find Norton without GPS assistance? Of course the Globe will declare him front runner and have a Sunday editorial endorsement by this weekend.

There isn't a bucket big enough for all the vomit!!

Let's hope for the sake of the democratic process that the democratic party machine doesn't begin squashing other candidates considering a run; let a primary process take its course. (Unlike what they are doing with Elizabeth Warren). As much as the Globe is already smitten, they will best serve the interests of the community by pressing for a robust primary process to determine the democratic party nominee, not simply award it based on family ties.

Ugh! Yet another carpetbagger...

Would I say the same about the Bushes? Maybe. If one just showed up in my district thinking he was entitled to the job. Both Presidents Bush had hard fought campaigns. No party member or conservative newspaper endorsed them just because of their name.

What a cynic you are, Numeral. The Globe won't endorse young Joe until he announces, to everyone's breathless surprise, that he's actually going to run.

This is wonderful and a rare bright light in the current political landscape. Someone to carry on a legacy of caring for people and the health of the planet, and not for power and money (i.e., flim-flammy, opportunistic Romney's recent purchasing, through ads and other exclusive big-money tactics, of the GOP frontrunner status)! Imagine! Kudos to brave Kennedy III - it's a battleground out there and he will be sharply opposed by Republicans at every opportunity. But I can see he's got the courage, the enthusiasm and the conviction to do what's right and forge ahead. May he have a bright political future, and may more Kennedys rejoin politics - we need them more than ever.

Yesterday, I read the Herald's "Discussion" remarks and realized that this paper is read by people who live under the earth. I could not find one positive remark for Joe the Third among the 253 comments. What is wrong with these people? Can't they see that the Kennedy Family are dedicated to public service? They are not doing it for the money, obviously. Why do they clobber them? Don't they have any compassion and sympathy for the two assassinations of JFK and Robert, two men dedicated to the service of their country and willling to take on issues that the assasins killed them for.

Hey young Joe-go for it and ignore all the negativity--I hope you are successful in your quest. You would get my vote.

With morons like Markoss out there, who will vote for Joe just because of his last name, young Kennedy doesn't have a lot to worry about. In fact, there are so many morons like Markoss in the Mass electorate that young Joe's intelligence and character (which may be flawless for all I know) don't even matter.
