Elderly N.H. man is allgedly scammed after sending Model T for repairs

A 91-year-old New Hampshire man thought he was sending his 1926 Ford Model T to be repaired for one last cruise. Instead, the supposed mechanic allegedly sold the antique car for a profit. Donald Wilson of Auburn, N.H., reported that in July he asked George Owen, 38, of Manchester, N.H., to restore his antique car so he could take it out for one last spin, Manchester police said. Wilson told police that Owen had performed odd jobs for him in the past. Rather than repair the car, police said, Owen sold it to his landlord for more than $5,000.
