Search for suspect halts Red Line trains

The MBTA temporarily halted Red Line service during the rush hour commute last night as Boston police searched for a robbery suspect at Andrew Station in South Boston, officials said. Entrances and exits were blocked as officers looking to execute an arrest warrant on a suspect searched the area just after 5 p.m., MBTA spokeswoman Lydia Rivera said. No suspect was found, said Officer Eddy Chrispin, a Boston police spokesman. Service was delayed for 17 minutes.
