DA to disclose details on fatal stabbing

Friends, family mourn victim, prepare for service

EVERETT -As friends and family gather to mourn the loss of 20-year-old Jessica Cormier at her funeral tomorrow, her alleged attacker will be in Malden District Court answering to a charge of first-degree murder. Clarence Earl Berry, 59, of Chelsea, was arrested Friday and charged with the Tuesday fatal stabbing of Cormier on the doorstep of her family’s home. He is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow. Authorities say Cormier was friendly with Berry, but it’s not clear how long they had known each other.
