Mayor Thomas M. Menino will lead a tour of the Boston University biolab today, accompanied by two dozen neighborhood and civic leaders, in advance of what’s expected to be the federal government’s final decision on whether to allow researchers to study some of the the world’s deadliest germs at the controversial South End site. Menino said the tour will allow leaders to gain a better understanding of the research that is proposed for the lab, which sits largely empty three years after construction was completed.

that ought to be one for posterity. btw, i know that we have a blithering nitwit former bagman for a mayor but, i didn't think this formerly proud and once great city had ANY leadership politically or otherwiseNEVER MIND so, it would be nice to know who or whom the chosen TWENTY-FOUR so called leaders are. if this is like the stacked deck of a supposedly blue ribbon public committee that our gasbag mayor helped put together to assist james rooney in the unwanted and unneeded expansion of the waterfront white elephant, that should also be preserved for posterity
this tour ought to be one for posterity. i know we have a blithering gasbag former bagman turned mayor, but i didn't think this formerly proud and once great city had one leader, politically or otherwise, never mind TWENT-FOUR, so , it would be nice to see a list of the chosen ones. if it's anything like the stacked deck of a supposed blue ribbon public committee totally devoid of objectivity and impartiality chosen to assist james rooney on the unwanted and unnedded expansion of the white elephant waterfront convention center, than this to should be recorded for posterity if not public comment. ma
