MGM latest big casino operator to look at Bay State

MGM Resorts will enter the casino sweepstakes in Western Massachusetts, as the development partner in a casino resort proposed for Brimfield, near the Massachusetts Turnpike. The crowded field competing for Western Mass. casino development rights also includes Mohegan Sun, which is proposing a resort in Palmer, and Ameristar, which wants to build on a site in Springfield. Only one can win development rights in the western region.
