Woburn officer watches as 4 suspects arraigned

WOBURN - Officer Robert DeNapoli wrapped his arm tightly around his wife and glared at the bald, stocky suspect seated at the defense table. The last time he had seen Antonio Matos was last September, when prosecutors said Matos jumped on the hood of a police cruiser and shot DeNapoli as he crouched behind the car, wounded, trapped, and desperately calling for back-up. Dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit, his hands and ankles chained together, Matos, 25, said he was not guilty of 36 charges, including attempted murder.
