Harvard plans reorganization of library

University officials announced yesterday that they plan to recommend a “new organizational design’’ of the Harvard University Library to the library board and senior university administrators, Kira Poplowski, director of communications for the library, wrote in an e-mail. The proposal is one in a series of steps expected as officials carry out a transition focused on management structure and new information technology in the famed library. Further details on the new library organization and a timetable are expected in February, she said.
