Hingham police are searching for a man who robbed the Eastern Bank on Main Street on Friday. According to police, the suspect entered the bank from the side entrance at 5:44 p.m. and approached a teller. The man demanded money in a “forceful manner’’ but did not present a weapon or note, investigators said. The teller gave him some money in a bag, police said, and the man ran out of the bank. Canine units tracked the suspect’s scent through the lot and through an alley, but the track ended in the parking lot on Route 228 behind Atlantic Bagel. The suspect is a white male, is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds, and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, black gloves, tan pants, and work boots.
