One worker hurt when equipment catches fire at Weston High School construction site

An oil company worker was hurt today when some equipment he was working with caught fire at a construction site at Weston High School, an official at Eastern Propane & Oil said. Jeff Taylor, chief operating officer for Eastern Propane & Oil, said one of the company’s technicians was hooking fuel to temporary heaters at the site when either a fuel line or a vaporizer caught fire. A vaporizer is a device that heats liquid fuel until it turns to vapor before going into an actual heater, he said. The fire occurred shortly after 2 p.m., but fire officials said the blaze was quickly contained and did not extend to the high school building on Wellesley Street.
