Congressman Frank plans to marry partner

U.S. Representative Barney Frank, one of the first openly gay politicians in national office, confirmed this morning that he is planning to wed his long-time partner, Jim Ready. But the marriage will take place in Frank’s home state of Massachusetts, the first in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage. The Supreme Judicial Court ruled in 2003 that same-sex marriage is a right under the state’s constitution.
