Zoo’s anaconda gets clean bill of health

Though his teeth appeared healthy during his regular checkup, 11-year-old Tom Riddle wasn’t given a candy reward. He didn’t even get a Spiderman band aid for lying still while his blood was drawn. But the handful of zookeepers whose job it was to restrain the 12-foot-long patient instead rewarded him with peace and quiet — the perfect treat for a well-fed anaconda. It’s been three years since the last time Riddle, a resident of Zoo New England, has had a checkup.
