Gov. Patrick’s former chief of staff joins lobbying firm

Governor Deval Patrick’s former chief of staff, Arthur Bernard, is taking a job with a lobbying firm, in another example of the revolving door between state government and the industry of influencing it. Bernard announced his departure from the Patrick administration in December 2010, taking a job one year ago as vice chancellor for government relations and public affairs at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
