Siblings get prison in fire that killed dad, sons

Quincy brothers issue apology

DEDHAM- Moments after two Quincy brothers were sentenced yesterday to up to three years in prison for keeping an illegal basement apartment where an immigrant father and his two young sons died in a 2009 fire, authorities announced plans to seek a state law that would penalize landlords for maintaining unsafe dwellings. Prosecutor Lynn Beland said before sentencing yesterday that the brothers, Andy and Jason Huang, “gambled with the lives of their tenants.’’ They had faced more than 20 years.
