Conn. governor wants new board, training changes

Connecticut legislators will soon be asked to create a new oversight board for the state’s technical high schools under a plan intended to make their training align with skills needed by the students’ potential employers. Governor Dannel P. Malloy said yesterday he will ask the General Assembly to create the 11-member appointed board to operate separately from the State Board of Education, which currently runs the 16 technical high schools
