The Unitarian Universalists Association of Congregation has joined the chorus of opposition against the controversial bill. The group urged state lawmakers dissolve the conference committee that has been hashing out a final bill for approval. Joined by other clergy, the organization’s president, the Rev. Peter Morales, hand delivered a letter of opposition to the offices of Governor Deval Patrick, House Speaker Robert DeLeo, and Senate President Therese Murray, church officials said.
