Gay marriage a state-by-state tussle

Both sides see hope in voters, legislators

As a federal appeals court revived gay marriage in California this week, New Hampshire legislators remained poised to go the other direction and at least two other New England states were re-evaluating their positions on gay marriage. New Hampshire legislators are set to vote in coming weeks on a measure to repeal gay marriage while Maine activists are seeking a voter referendum allowing gay marriage and Rhode Island advocates plan to introduce legislation to allow gay marriages.

I need not remind which party like to divide and conquer. They do love their culture wars! The irony is, of course, once it becomes normal they'll say they were always for it. Civil Rights...well, despite our Southern Strategy we always wanted blacks to vote...that was until we started our fraudulent voter fraud campaign a decade ago. Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security... we like that as well but we like Paul Ryan a lot more so we can the old against the young but we'll still pretend to like it. Then there are the gays! Pretend to care for the sinner but hate the sin...woo hoo...you guys are good!

Ever notice how Republicans always oppose government intervention except when it's into other people's bedrooms?

Actually, according to multiple web sources, the Maine vote was 53 - 47, not 57 - 43. Let's hope the bigots lose this time around!

Only one request: let's stop calling this 'gay marriage.' It's marriage equality.
