The nicest thing about the Mittster is that if you don't like his positions, just wait a day.

In his criticism of President Obama, Governor Romney appears to be a "Do as I say, not as I do" kind of fellow. Gosh!

And will the Globe provide balanced, objective coverage about the Obama Administration's failures and conflicting statements / positions? Will you also coordinate discussions among your opinion writers to discuss how the policies and programs of this Administration are putting us on the same path of economic crisis as Greece and other Europeon nations? That would be the day! Will the Globe still be operating under its current ownership in 5 years? I think not!

What a phoney!

So now the State Police receive full Quinn Bill benefits and city and town department's benefits have been cut in half. Hmmmmm....makes sense, departments that actually interact with the public to solve problems and reduce crime get a lot less educational pay than a highway patrol whose main mission is traffic enforcement, right. On another note, with the reduction in Quinn benefits to the Boston Police a Boston Police sergeant with 20 years on the job gets paid $100 less a week than a base firefighter with 5 years on the job. Bizarro world indeed.

The Quinn bill is a farce, but not as much of a farce as police details. Perhaps more of a farce than either are the Boston Fire Department's work rules. How would you like to have a full-time job that was so undemanding that you could have another full-time job at the same time.

Amazing!! Simply amazing. The Globe, the newspaper of the 'working man', the pro-union publication that it is, publishing a story critical of Romney's support for a benefit that was fought for by UNIONS! Why? Because the unions are made up of police officers, the favorite target of the Globe. If Romney had supported union benefits for custodians, the Globe would have championed his cause. I have never seen a news 'source' as hypocritical as the Globe when it comes to law enforcement. I would have more respect for the editorial board if it simply ran the headline, "We hate cops."

Come on, 107! How many Boston police officers make less than 100 grand a year? You could probably count them on one hand. And most of them make a lot more than that. But it's not the amount that's irritating, it's the way they make it. Details, Quinn Bill, overtime. It doesn't pass the smell test.
