Pedestrian dies after being hit by truck

A pedestrian walking in Danvers yesterday evening was struck by a pickup truck and killed, police said. Officials did not release the victim’s identity, but said he was in his mid-40s and was hit at approximately 8:23 p.m. on Andover Street, Route 114, by a Ford Ranger. Lieutenant Carole Germano said the victim was rushed to Beverly Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
