Hubway’s return means spring is approaching

In this week’s Starts & Stops: Though Hubway stations are not officially supposed to appear until Thursday and won’t be stocked with bikes until March 15, some have already been cropping up like late-winter crocuses, in anticipation of the Boston bike-sharing system’s first full season. In an abbreviated inaugural run in 2011, Hubway users recorded 142,155 station-to-station trips, from a debut July 28 to Hubway’s November dismantling for winter. Plus, more on local bike infrastructure, and MBCR records its best month in years.
