Masked man with syringe robs store

A masked man with a syringe robbed a 7-Eleven store in Wareham yesterday, police said. At approximately 3 a.m., the man entered the convenience store on Cranberry Highway and demanded money from the clerk while holding a syringe. He fled with an undetermined amount of cash, and the female clerk was unharmed, Wareham police said. The suspect is described as a thin male, roughly 5-feet-7, who appeared to be in his early 20s. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 508-295-1206 or to text the tip to 274637 on a cellphone, beginning the text with the phrase “warehampd.’’
