State’s new campaign aims to save lives in tunnels

David Dang did what so many drivers do after a fender-bender. He pulled to the side of the road, got out to inspect the damage, and exchanged information with the other motorist. But that minor accident happened in the Thomas P. O’Neill Jr. Tunnel. As Dang walked back to his car, he was struck and killed. Officials have introduced a “Save Your Life . . . Not Your Car!’’ campaign, encouraging motorists to stay put after highway-tunnel accidents.
