Newport residents happy for family that won $336,400,000 lottery jackpot

Leroy White walked in Friday to the Ocean Breeze Café in Newport, R.I., and ordered his usual buttermilk pancake and coffee, adding an omelet for good measure. By mistake, the local musician poured cream on his pancake instead of syrup, recalled Kelly Mesler, 22, who offered to make him a new one. “Just a little distracted,” said café owner Christine Melucci. Now they know why. It turned out that White was harboring a stunning secret: His family had won $336.4 million in the Powerball lottery game.
