Neighbors await word on Catherine Greig

QUINCY - Catherine Greig’s former neighbors were not surprised the woman they recall as quiet and pleasant may be considering pleading guilty to a charge of helping James “Whitey’’ Bulger, the notorious South Boston crime boss, evade capture during the 16 years the couple was on the run. “How could she have been moving around with him for [that many] years and not say she didn’t know,’’ said Dana Olson, 70, who lives two doors away from the Hillcrest Road house in Squantum where Greig lived for nearly a decade.
