Carolyn and Cynthia Clement, both 44, had pulled over between Exit 2 and 3 about 12:10 a.m. Police are investigating. A car driven by a 20-year-old man hit Carolyn Clement, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Cynthia Clement was hit by a vehicle’s side mirror and taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
