A Fall River woman died and another was seriously hurt Saturday after they were struck by cars while trying to cross Interstate 195 in Swansea, State Police said. Carolyn and Cynthia Clement, both 44, had pulled over between Exit 2 and 3 about 12:10 a.m. Police are investigating. A car driven by a 20-year-old man hit Carolyn Clement, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Cynthia Clement was hit by a vehicle’s side mirror and taken to Rhode Island Hospital. No charges were filed, State Police spokesman David Procopio said.
