I get it, the mood, the joy, the very lightness of being in this winter of 2012. March feels like May, it’s barely snowed all year, and the temperatures have set one benevolent record after another. So you’re all chuckling to yourselves, thinking we’ve done something you didn’t think possible: We cheated Old Man Winter. But we haven’t. This is New England, where things never break in our favor.

Lighten up Brian! LOL The way I look it at is that we already paid with last year's winter and the tornadoes. This is our reward!!
Irish-Catholic pathological worldview + Red Sox references=Dan Shaughnessy of the Metro section. Pass the tanning butter!
Brian, you missed the point that's in your face. Mother Nature's giving us a break because come this December 21, we are going to get "inexorably screwed."
Brian, I believe the prognosis is even worse than your prediction of a typical New England spring, i.e. snow on the Forth of July. Today's freakish weather is the harbinger of global warming, Which will convince even the nay-sayers who cannot accept the fact that glaciers are melting and the sea level is rising (and the gin is getting low).
Jesus, at least Barnicle could make up some half decent crap. This is the best you have? Tired, woe-is-us New England references? Really?

Hysterical
Brian is short of ideas. He's writing about the weather.
