Biotech’s cofounder accused of stealing intellectual property

The article, co-written by Dr. Craig B. Thompson in the scientific journal suggested a promising approach to fighting cancer. By understanding metabolic changes and identifying certain mutations, it said, tumors could be starved of nutrients. But two years later, officials at the University of Pennsylvania, where Thompson worked as director of a cancer institute allege he essentially stole discoveries made there start to his own company, Agios Pharmaceuticals Inc., based in Cambridge.
