From Sunday’s Globe

For the Kennedy clan, he is Generation Next

Joseph P. Kennedy III brings the best name in the game to his race for Congress, but the unpretentious manner, academic pedigree, and drive are all his own.

Joseph P. Kennedy III is the first of his generation, a tribe of dozens of cousins many of whom do not bear the Kennedy name, to make a bid for public office. If he is successful, he could renew the luster of a somewhat tarnished family name. If he is not, he will fuel critics’ claims that the family has exhausted its political potency. His road into politics has taken him from prestigious colleges to the Peace Corps to a job as a prosecutor.

Here we go again. Kennedy worship is in full swing. Is the Globe tired of "the Professor" already? OR- maybe the AP ran out of stories? In any case, the GLOBE will be covered in Kennedy stories until the election.Just grit your teeth.

What was Patches??? A mulligan?

No Elizabeth Warren stories today? What is it now? Alternating days for Granny and the Kennedy boy?

Let's hope we won't have to endure this fawning too many more time before the election.

To all the Kennedy-hating and Boston Globe-loathing posters, thanks for keeping my subscription rate low! In the interests of full-disclosure, I am not returning the favor with the Boston Herald.

AFL-CIO endorses Kennedy. Must be a coincidence it so happens Tolman a former state rep is president of the AFL-CIO. Another coincidence he gets hired as an ADA. "unpretentious manner, academic pedigree, and drive are all his own" Not to hard to accomplish when you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth.

Wow! Do you think the voters care that he drank milk before lacrosse games? A last name does not equal entitlement. He got into law school because of connections. He went into the peace corps that his uncle started. He got two AD jobs that were handed to him on a silver plater. He only has a total of two years work experience. Not even two years at the same place!!! He lived at home with mom and never had any idea about bills or even renting! Boston Globe: your readership drying up. You just gave your CEO a 23 million dollar golden parachute. Start asking yourself why?

"And even those Democrats thrilled to see a Kennedy on the ballot again suspect that most voters will soon catch their breath and start to focus on who is the man behind the name." This piece sounds like a cheesy romance novel. Sally like Joan has a Kennedy love affair in the making..

I hope Joe, III is the end of the era. This Kennedy schlock has got to have an expiration date.

I don't see this article as Kennedy worshiping-on the contrary, she has stressed, repeatedly, that he is running as himself and not on his family name. It's the anti-Kennedy people who keep stressing the "Kennedy Name" and denouncing him before he's had a chance to prove himself. So far,Joe's doing a good job.

Elenor4: could you please explain how a he is not running on his name? He got the union endorsement before he even announced his running. He met with the PM of Ireland. He went to Israeli with his handlers and met with top officials. The BG has written dozens of stories. Do you think any other no-name democratic candidate with 24 months of work experience, zero experience in public office and living at home until recently would receive the same treatment? Please explain?

How many more Mr. SPEAKAAAAH? HOW MANY MORE?

Let's face it, folks. All Joe has to do to win...is run. And then when Kerry decides not to seek re-election, Joe will run for the Senate...and win regardless of what he did in the House. There is no stopping him, or any other Kennedy, in Massachusetts. If Ted Kennedy got re-elected after what he did, it's not likely that a Kennedy will ever lose in this state. And that says a lot more about the voters than the Kennedys.

OK. I get it. He is the Word Made Flesh, and he drinks milk too! Nice puff piece guys. Now get back to reporting.

* gag *

Funny that voters have no idea what Bielat drank, huh?
