‘Peace parade’ begins later than scheduled, ordered to stay 1 mile back from official event

Participants in the St. Patrick’s Peace Parade anxiously waited on D Street for their turn to march down West Broadway, after being ordered to keep a mile’s distance from the official parade Sunday afternoon. “The scheduled start time for our parade was set at 2 p.m.,” said Ethan Harrison, 24, of Brighton, a member of Join the Impact Massachusetts, a gay rights group.
