Prominent Boston businessman Joseph J. O’Donnell and his wife, Kathy, have donated $30 million to Harvard University, the school announced this afternoon. Nice going, Joe. You got your name in the paper! But can you think of any organization anywhere that is less in need of money than Harvard?
I strongly agree with incredible1, and I'm a graduate of both the undergrad and Grad. Ed. programs. In the current social/political/economic climate, I can think of no institution less in need of $30M than the most generously endowed educational institution in the country. How far would $30M go when applied to regional community colleges or an expanded after-school ed. program for the inner city?
