Turn off the furnace -- and turn on the AC? -- temperatures to hit mid-80s in the interior today

Get out the sunscreen because it’s going to be another summer-like day in Massachusetts, according to the National Weather Service. Today will be sunny with a high of 79 degrees in Boston, though there is a chance of lower temperatures due to a cool sea breeze, which may pull temperatures down as much as 15 degrees, said meteorologist Bill Simpson. However, he said once the breeze settles down this evening, some winds from the west are likely to pull the temperature up a bit more. If the sea breeze is mild, the high for today is only a few degrees of the record temperature in Boston for March 21, which is 83, set in 1921.
