Brown loves women! He'd love them to to go back to the 50's as much as any other Republican. Look at his voting record please. Any vote to restrict abortion or "womens" care he has proposed or voted for...but he is dreamy!
Someone who cares about women wouldn't need to step up their focs.
As a father of 3 grown women and a husband of a professional wife it would take them no time for them to expound on what issues are important to them. Senator Brown's answer makes him look like he is being interviewed on some quiz show hosted by Groucho Marx, "You bet your life." Is this a serious response to topics women want addressed? Doesn't he realize how insulting it is to his wife, a competent journalist? Apparently he is not getting any such discussion on women's concerns in his home. Perhaps they think he is a hopeless cause. I come to this conclusion totally dependent on what is stated in this article. If it is otherwise, mea culpa, and if it is not, it is clear this candidate for Senate will not be an advocate for policies important to the modern life of women.
.. no surprise here. Brown voted for an amendment that was designed to push the edge, in a direction insulting to women and deemed crassly politicized by all. He did so at a time when he COULD have been influencing his GOP peers to get away from all the social turmoil and get to work on the real issues like the economy. The "no surprise" is the consistent pandering by the 1%, believing that some plastic program and lots of media coverage will make voters forget about the way they actually vote.
Brown is running true to form. When he was in the Massachusetts State House, he opted to allow hospitals to refuse emergency contraception to victims of rape. I wish no ills on the women in his family but we'd all better realize that if any of them were to be in need of such care, she would not be worrying about the ER at any hospital. Her personal physician would be immediately available. Let the women of Massachusetts not forget that.
"Let them eat cake," Senator Scott Antoinette. Of course, they must bake it, decorate it and serve it to everyone. Then clear the table and wash the dishes. If ill when "she" goes to the hospital and she will appear before a panel of all "men" quite similar to the one that appeared before a recent congressional committee will tell her what procedures she is allowed.
How could anyone who even casually knows and likes any women support his candidacy for re-election? He may pretend he has women's interests at heart, but when it's politically expedient, or the Republican heavyweights tell him how to think, he does something like voting for the callow Blunt Amendment. He is ultimately bought and paid for by a machine that he mostly walks with in lock step. His "independent" votes are only allowed on issues that don't strike at the heart of the GOP's sad and ever-shrinking goal to keep straight white men in control of the world. What he has at heart are only Scott Brown's interests. Even if Warren ends up being bought and paid for by Democrats, I wager she'll never have enough hubris to hold a hearing on men's health issues with no men present to provide feedback and perspective.
Senator Scott Brown is head and shoulders above Prof.Warren, not only physically, but intellectually when it comes to walking the walk and talking the talk - and most of all working for all Massachusetts voters - regardless of their political colors.
Further more, Maine Senator Olympia Snowe in an interview with ABC's Senior Political Correspondent Jonathan Karl, claims that her meetings with President Obama have been less frequent than with any other President. By the way Senator Snowe was a Maine Senator since 1976! Snowe's remarkable revelation sure puts to rest President's claim to 'crossing the aisle". Many, many, many false promises from Obama during his presidential campaign. The young volunteer soldiers are still fighting a war. RIGHT??????????????????
I voted for Brown 2 years ago, but I really don't know if I can now because of the Blount Ammendment support. I am not sure I would vote for Warren either though, may just not vote at all.
First, I do NOT believe he comes from an abusive household or family. He is disgusting, after he voted for the Blunt amendment. This man is one of the most dishonest, either Republican or Democratic, men who has ever been the Senate representing Massachusetts. If he isn't another Romney, except for truck rather than a Cadillac, suddenly turned friendly toward women, well, perhaps he'll promise he won't purposely run over the women of our country when he tries to blunt his vote for the Blunt amendment. He's despicable. Don't be fooled again, Massachusetts.
