Two-alarm fire rips through Dover home; no injuries reported

A two-alarm fire ripped through a Dover home today, almost completely destroying it, firefighters said. Firefighters were called just after 11 a.m. to a home on Walpole Street near Bretton Road. The fire had to be fought from the outside after the staircase collapsed inside, fire officials said. No one was injured and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. According to the town assessor’s office, the home was worth $945,200 and sits on 9.2 acres of property.
