T ridership hit another record high in February

One day after announcing a possible double-digit fare increase, the MBTA today is reporting ridership on the mass transit system hit a record high for the month of February, marking the 13 straight month of increased demand. The T now provides 1.3 million passenger trips on buses, subways, commuter rail and The Ride each weekday, according to the MBTA. Last month, ridership on all modes jumped by 8.1 percent, making February the busiest in the system’s history.
