Lawyer in Mattapan case seeks source

Wants to know how columnist knew about jury

The lawyer for Dwayne Moore, who avoided conviction last month when a jury could not reach a unanimous decision, is demanding that a judge order prosecutors to reveal the source behind a Globe column regarding jury deliberations. The column described alleged conversations between jurors regarding the lone holdout. “Because the information was provided to me under the condition of confidentiality, I obviously can’t reveal the nature of the source,’’ columnist Brian McGrory said.
