PETA asks to put some ‘snakes’ on a T train

Act would decry cruelty to reptiles

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, an animal rights group, is seeking permission to decorate a Boston-area train car with rubber snakes, said Ingrid Newkirk, president of PETA. Newkirk said the stunt is intended to raise awareness about the cruel treatment of snakes in snakeskin factories.
