Walpole murder case may be in jeopardy

Death of witness raises questions

The case against two men accused in a 2009 slaying in Walpole in which the victim’s body was believed to be dismembered appears to be in jeopardy after the death of a key witness. The former fiance of one of the defendants said murder charges are being dropped against the suspects and she fears for her safety. Shannon Murphy, who is in her 30s, had a child with one of the alleged killers, Daniel P. Bradley, 50.
