Jieming Liu appeared frail and bewildered Friday as he appeared in Westborough District Court. Authorities say he murdered his wife Thursday, apparently gnawing at her flesh. Liu, 79, was ordered held without bail pending a mental evaluation. He and his wife recently moved from China to Shrewsbury, apparently to be closer to relatives. Liu suffers from dementia, his son told authorities.
