Patrolman Dennis Pearse of the Avon Police Department arrived, dressed as the Easter bunny, for the Easter egg hunt attended by more than 300 children.

Each year, photographers can go “rabbit hunting” through the streets as people dress up to celebrate the Easter holiday. Charming photos of families dressed in their Sunday best filled the pages of The Boston Globe throughout the years. The surefire search for eggs provided endless comic relief.
