N.H. authorities describe slaying of police chief

GREENLAND, N.H. -- Autopsy results reveal that Cullen Mutrie, the 29-year-old alleged to have killed Greenland police chief Michael Maloney Thursday night, took his own life with a gunshot wound to the head, according to a statement released Saturday afternoon by the New Hampshire attorney general’s office. The woman found dead in the apartment was identified as Brittany Tibbetts, 26. She was also killed by a gunshot wound to the head, according to the attorney general’s office, and her death was ruled a homicide.
