Looking out from the upper left field corner, marathon runners could be seen going by.
Turn around, and the Sox game against the Rays was spread out below.
“It’s a Boston holiday. The Sox game is just a piece of what’s happening in the city,’’ said Gannon, who has been coming to Patriots Day games for a decade.
