Police seek help in South Boston fatal stabbing

Authorities continued on Tuesday to investigate the fatal stabbing of a 67-year-old woman inside her South Boston home Monday morning, appealing to neighbors for help and dredging up manholes on the woman’s street. Boston police said Tuesday that investigators detected no signs of obvious forced entry into the home on 737 E. Seventh St., where Barbara Coyne was discovered around 10:00 a.m. Monday. She was later pronounced dead at a city hospital.
