South Africa to honor late Senator Ted Kennedy

His antiapartheid efforts recognized

Ted Kennedy Jr., will return to South Africa to accept an award posthumously honoring his father’s work battling against apartheid. The award, the Order of the Companions of O.R. Tambo in Gold, is given for “friendship shown to South Africa. It is therefore an order of peace, co-operation and active expression of solidarity and support,’’ according to the South African government website.
